A Glasgow woman recently arrested in Saline County was found dead in the Saline County Jail Thursday, morning.
According to a news release from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found 48-year-old Heidi Elfering unresponsive in her cell during the late morning hours of March 21st, 2019. Deputies reportedly began life saving measures and EMS responded. Elfering was pronounced dead at 11:57 a.m. by Coroner Willie Harlow.
Elfering was arrested during a court appearance for a probation violation on Wednesday, March 20th.
A autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
