A Springfield, Ohio man recently charged with a felony after accepting a package which reportedly contained cocaine earlier this month in Saline County is out on bond.
Victor Emmanuel Casey III will go before a Saline County judge later this month. Casey has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, after attempting to pick up a package at the Marshall Police Department on the 14th of this month (Mar).
A probable-cause statement says Marshall Police officers received a call from a special investigator with the Department of Homeland Security on the 4th of March, where the investigator stated a package was intercepted by U.S. Border and Customs, which contained two pictured frames. Those picture frames, reportedly, contained several ounces of cocaine. The package was addressed to 25-year-old Victor Emmanuel Casey III and was being shipped to a residence on East College Street in Marshall.
Casey reportedly accepted the package during a controlled delivery at the police department building on the 14th of March. Casey stated he was picking up the package for a former school mate and was paid $400. At this time, no other subject has been charged in this case.
Casey posted the $15,000 surety bond on Monday, March 18. He is now scheduled to appear for an arraignment hearing at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at Saline County Circuit Court.
