Saline County Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Day detailed a training exercise program he recently attended during the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, March 21.
Day said the timely exercise regarding flood emergency response got crews from several other states together in Kansas City.

Day said besides gaining knowledge on protocols regarding responding to flooding situations, the exercise was an excellent way to network with other emergency response teams. Day said there is plenty of help if needed.

Day also said he has been monitoring flood-stage levels within the county and believes all should be well according to predictions at the time. He added predicted flood levels are like the weather, it can change anytime, so he will keep an eye on the situation over the weekend.
