During its meeting on Tuesday, March 26, the Marshall School Board approved a review by the district’s food service provider.
Director of Special Services Terri Porter then asked the board to give its blessing to contract with OPAA for the 2019-20 school year.
Porter said the food services have to be bid out every five years. The next time will be next year.
Porter said she used a formula provided by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to determine the district needs to increase the price of lunch.
Porter also said the breakfast prices- which have not changed in the past five years- will remain the same.
The board approved the contract and the increase in lunch prices.
