An Otterville resident sustained minor injuries when her vehicle reportedly struck wildlife in the roadway in Pettis County on Tuesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 44-year-old Stephanie Rose slowed her westbound vehicle to try to avoid a deer which had entered the westbound lane of the roadway from the north. However, the vehicle struck the deer and came to a controlled stop on the right shoulder.
Rose reportedly refused medical treatment at the scene.
The accident happened at 9:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 50, just east of Monsees Road.
