A De Soto man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash in Cooper County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 56-year-old Frank Stogsdill reportedly failed to yield his southbound Harley Davidson to emergency vehicles. The bike traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a field entrance, overturned and ejected the driver- who reportedly was wearing a non-D-O-T approved helmet.
Stogsdill reportedly was flown by Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
The crash happened just before 3:40 a.m. on Missouri Highway 5, one and a half miles north of Route E.
