A Blue Springs man sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Lafayette County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 78-year-old Milton Hessefort, reportedly overtook and struck the rear of another eastbound vehicle, driven by 61-year-old Ruth Lindahl, of Odessa, which had slowed for traffic congestion.
While Lindahl reportedly was not injured, Hessefort was transported by E.M.S. to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment.
The crash happened at 3 p.m. at the 32.2 mile marker on I-70.
