The Boonville City Council approved for a section of roadway to be closed for an event next month during its meeting on Monday, April 15.
The council approved a request from Saints Peter and Paul Parish School to close 7th Street, between the south playground parking lot entrance to Chestnut Street, for the Field Day event scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8. The approval also includes a makeup day of Tuesday, May 14, in case the event is canceled on the original date.
In other business, the council tabled a discussion regarding the purchase of a mini-excavator for the Street Department.
