Two Reno, Nevada, residents have been charged with drug-related felonies after a traffic stop on I-70 in Lafayette County on April 11.
A probable-cause statement says, during a probable-cause search, authorities say they found 33 one-pound, vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana in suitcases in the trunk and driver’s-side floorboard. Authorities also say they found multiple controlled pills inside the purse of the passenger in the vehicle; and she could not provide a prescription.
According to online court documents, the driver- 29-year-old Joshua Scott Vaughn- and passenger- 28-year-old Alexis Jean Orlosky- each has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Orlosky also has been charged with two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Resisting or Interfering with an Arrest for a Felony. Bond for Orlosky has been set at $63,000 and for Vaughn at $33,000 cash or surety.
Each defendant entered a plea of not guilty during an arraignment hearing on April 12. Each is due for another hearing at 9:30 a.m. May 1 at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
