The Marshall School Board said good-bye to a longtime member and welcomed a new one during its meeting Tuesday, April 16.
As per the results of the Municipal Election earlier this month, Eddie Harper and Harry Carrell were elected. Carrell replaces Mike Mills, who was on the board for three terms (nine years).
Mills, who served as board vice president for the past year, said he had a couple of goals when he first was elected to the board–to get rid of transitions for children and trailers on the campuses.
Mills is hopeful all goes well with the expansion of the Spainhower Campus.
The board reorganized after the swearing in of Harper for his second term and Carrell.
Brad Guthrey was selected to continue as board president; Bryon Jacques as vice president; Harper to continue as treasurer; and Linda Perkins to continue as secretary. Kathy Green was elected to continue as the MSBA delegate, with Dr. Erin Meyer as the MSBA alternate.
