Personnel in the Brunswick R-2 School District will be getting raises.
During the school board’s meeting on Monday, April 15, the raises were approved, according to Superintendent Bob Kottman.

Kottman said non-certified staff got a 2.69-percent increase.
In other news, Kottman said the district has decided to change its health-insurance provider. He said the district had been with Midwest Public Risk for 20-plus years. But he said because the consortium has dwindled from over 30 school districts to under 10, the premiums have spiked. He said the was the provider would rate the Brunswick R-2 District was no longer favorable.

The board also tabled a decision on a potential three-school co-op- with Keytesville and Northwestern at Mendon- for baseball and softball in the fall. Kottman says if the MSHSAA approves the possibility of the three-school co-op this month, the board will need to make its decision during next month’s meeting in order for an approval to be in time for the fall 2019 season.
