Marshall Public Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher covered several topics during her report at the school board meeting on Tuesday, April 16.
Dr. Maher gave an update on a lease-purchase, and as of April 16, the balance is $879,449. She also reviewed several budget requests for the 2019-20 school year.
Dr. Maher’s requests include possible raises and other requests for a number of staff members- with a non-negotiable total of $378,500 and an overall total of $915,896- if approved in full. A decision by the board will be made at a future meeting.
Dr. Maher also showed a slide that the district has had six teacher retirements, 12 teacher resignations, one classified retirement and one classified staff resignation in 2019.
