A Knob Noster woman has been charged with a felony for allegedly stealing three rings from a residence in Pettis County.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities were called to a pawn shop on March 15 and noted the rings pawned by Amber Brandes in January looked very similar to the ones that were reported as stolen. On March 29, Brandes reportedly told authorities her boyfriend gave her the rings but did not name her boyfriend when asked. She said they broke up about three months ago. The victim values the rings at more than $1,200.
Online court documents say a warrant has been requested, and Brandes has been charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has not been set yet.
Brandes’ initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
