Two Sedalia residents suffered injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Pettis County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 28-year-old Patricia Gullett, of Sedalia, reportedly attempted to make a left turn from the right lane, and her vehicle entered into the path of a northbound vehicle, driven by 16-year-old Dennis Melnichuk, of Houstonia.
While Melnichuk reportedly was not injured, Gullett suffered serious injuries and a passenger in her vehicle- 26-year-old Gatlyn Wade sustained minor injuries. Gullett reportedly was transported by Pettis County ambulance and Wade by private vehicle to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. Neither of the injured persons reportedly was wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. on U.S. Highway 65, just north of Route BB.
