A Centerview man was seriously injured in a traffic crash in Johnson County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 56-year-old Mark Cochran, reportedly traveled into the path of and was struck by a westbound vehicle, driven by 35-year-old Ianthius Barlow, of Knob Noster. Cochran reportedly was not wearing a seat belt.
Cochran was transported by ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injures. Barlow and passenger, 31-year-old Caleb Barlow, of Chilhowee, each were transported by ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment of minor injures.
The crash happened just after 5:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 50 at Route M.
