Missouri Valley College will confer 237 degrees to students during its commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Gregg-Mitchell Field on the MVC campus in Marshall. The 2019 class- including 226 undergraduate students and 11 students graduating from the College’s graduate program in community counseling- is the 130th class to graduate from MVC.
EJ Narcise- a 1981 Valley grad- will deliver the commencement address. He is the co-founder of Team Services, LLC, one of the country’s leading sports marketing consultancy firms.
Dr. Diane Bartholomew, vice president of academic affairs, will present two students with the Charles L. Bacon Distinguished Service Award, which is given annually to a senior man and woman- voted on by the senior class.
The College will live-stream commencement. In addition, the College will provide a live video feed of commencement in the Eckilson-Mabee Theatre, located inside the Technology Center on the MVC campus.
In addition to the commencement ceremony, the nursing pinning ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. in the Eckilson-Mabee Theatre.
