Two area residents sustained injuries in a two-vehicle head-on traffic crash in Saline County on Friday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 53-year-old David Holder, of Slater, reportedly crossed into the northbound lane and struck a vehicle, driven by 20-year-old Cody Evans, of Marshall. Holder’s vehicle reportedly traveled off the roadway and struck the ditch several times before coming to rest.
While Holder reportedly refused treatment of minor injuries and Evans was not injured, a passenger in Evans’ vehicle- 24-year-old Kaitlyn Ritchie, of Marshall, was transported by private vehicle to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment of moderate injuries. None of the persons listed in the report reportedly was wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened at 1:30 p.m. on Missouri Highway 41 at 275th Road.
