Memorial services for 79-year-old Vernon Means, of Independence, will be Saturday, May 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slater. Inurnment will be in Slater City cemetery. Weiker Funeral Home in Slater is in charge of the arrangements.
