Two 33-year-old New Market, Alabama, residents have been charged with a drug-related felony for allegedly being in possession of nearly 20 pounds of marijuana after a traffic stop on I-70 in Cooper County on April 11.
According to a probable-cause statement, during a probable-cause search of the vehicle, a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper says he found approximately 17 pounds of marijuana within the passenger compartment in duffel bags. The vehicle’s occupants were Ian Patrick Donahue and Joshua K. Bright.
Each has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bond has not been set yet.
An initial hearing for each defendant is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
