The city of Houstonia has issued a boil advisory.
According to a city spokesperson, on Thursday, May 2, a water main was accidentally struck which caused water service to be shut off for residents. The spokesperson said a 48-hour boil advisory will be in effect for all residents once the main is fixed and water service is returned.
