A Kansas City man was killed in a rollover traffic accident involving a semi-truck in Carroll County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrols says the accident occurred as the driver of an eastbound tractor trailer, 43-year-old Matthew Vignere, reportedly overcorrected as the semi was traveling off the right side of the roadway. The semi then returned to the roadway, overturned, skidded off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment before coming to a rest.
Vignere was pronounced deceased at the scene by Carroll County Coroner Steve Bittiker.
The accident happened at about 6:30 a.m. on Missouri Highway 10, one-half mile east of County Road 121.
