During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, May 7, Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden says she still is working on getting broadband internet service to the rural parts of the county.
Gooden says she is trying to get signatures to gain support for a loan/grant from the U.S. Government to install high-speed rural broadband.

Gooden says she will be visiting homes/businesses in the areas of Watermill Road and Ladder Avenue, as well as Highway 41 north to Miami in the near future.
Gooden says if you want to sign the document, and you fit the specifics of the requirements, you can do so by coming to the commission office at the courthouse in Marshall. She says the due date for the petition-type form is June 21.
