The Slater City Council heard a report on the success of the recent citywide garage sale event during its meeting on Tuesday, May 7.
City Administrator Gene Griffith gave a report on the annual citywide garage sale event held recently.

In other business, Griffith said a 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt is scheduled to make an appearance at Steve McQueen Day on Saturday, June 15. Griffith added the car will be at the event as long as it doesn’t get sold beforehand.
