Julie Schwetz made committee appointments during her first city council meeting as the Mayor of Marshall on Monday, May 6.
Schwetz kept the committees as is: Municipal Services and Personnel- Ward 3 and 4 Councilmen Dan Brandt and Tom Hagedorn; Property Finance Budget and Audit- Wards 1 and 2 Councilmen Ron Ott and Kirk Arends; Community Development and Code- Wards 1 and 2 Councilmen Dewey Hendrix and Chuck Hines; and Public Relations and Public Safety- Wards 3 and 4 Councilpersons Charlie Guthrey and Kathy Vasquez.
Schwetz said there are some board appointments coming up, and if any Marshall residents is interested, they can fill out a form.

Schwetz also reported her first “Monday with the Mayor” was kind of quiet. But she says she will hold it again in June.

The next meeting of the city council is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Monday, May 20.
