Students who attended the first year when it opened its doors, as well as students from this year’s classes were on hand to help celebrate the Golden Anniversary of the Saline County Career Center in Marshall on Thursday, May 9.
Director Callie Dobbins said the celebration provided an opportunity for former students to reminisce- including some who were part of the first class to walk through the halls.
Dobbins said students have a lot more options now than they did when the center opened for the 1968-69 school year.
According to a news release, 400 students currently attend classes for at least a portion of their school day at the career center.
