The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen gave its approval to a proposed water-rate increase during its meeting on Monday, May 13.
City Clerk Michelle Fuehring explains what was approved.

Fuehring said the rate increase went into effect upon passage.

The previous rate was $11.97 for the first 133 cubic feet; and nine cents per each cubic foot after that.
