A Salisbury man who allegedly stole a woman’s purse and used her debit card to make several purchases has been charged with a felony in Chariton County.
According to a probable-cause statement, a purse- which contained several driver’s licenses- was found by a bridge east of Keytesville on Tuesday, May 14. Contact was made with the purse’s owner, who alleged that Aaron Michael Midboe stole the purse from her residence. The woman said the purse contained about $610 in cash, her debit card, a cell phone and some sets of keys. Authorities viewed surveillance video from one of the places the debit card was used and say the person who used the card is Midboe.
Online court documents say a warrant has been issued and Midboe has been charged with a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree; and a misdemeanor for fraudulent use of a credit or debit device. Bond has been set at $5,000 cash only.
Midboe’s initial hearing is pending at Chariton County Circuit Court.
