A Sedalia man has been charged with felonies for an alleged burglary incident earlier this month in Pettis County.
A probable-cause statement says Sedalia Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 500 block of West 5th Street on May 3.
Officers spoke with a male victim who stated 28-year-old Brady Allred entered the residence without permission and allegedly was holding a large stick. The victim added Allred allegedly threatened him and his family if he didn’t pay back money which reportedly was owed to a family member of Allred. Reportedly, Allred left the residence, but returned after the victim had left to run errands. The victim alleges Allred had caused damage to his house and stole six tires while the victim was away from the residence.
Online court documents say Allred has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree; an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action; a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and a misdemeanor for stealing. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
An initial hearing for Allred is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
