Numerous roadways in the state of Missouri are closed due to flooding, including several in the KMMO listening area.
According to the MoDOT Traveler Information Map, there are closures in several counties- including Saline, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Lafayette, Pettis and Johnson Counties in the KMMO listening area.
In Saline County, Route UU, about two miles east of U.S. Highway 65; Route VV, north of I-70 near Emma; Highway 127, north of Sweet Springs; and the Outer Road south of I-70 at Sweet Springs are closed.
In Carroll County, Missouri Highway 10, between Carrollton and Norborne; Route E at Turkey Creek; and Route UU at Big Creek are closed.
In Chariton County, Route J- at the Missouri River north of New Frankfort; Missouri Highway 129 and Route O, west of Prairie Hill; Route DD, just east of Mike; Route NN, south of Salisbury; and Route E at Yellow Creek are closed.
In Cooper County, Route OO, just south of I-70- west of mile marker 98; Route HH, northwest of Pilot Grove; and Route V, south of I-70 and off of Missouri Highway 179, are closed.
In Howard County, Route Z- just west of Missouri Highway 87; and Route H- northeast of Fayette- are closed.
In Pettis County, Missouri Highway 127, south of La Monte; and Route O at Muddy Creek are closed.
In Lafayette County, Missouri Highway 224- just west of Lexington at the Missouri River; and Route D and Route FF at Sni-A-Bar Creek- are closed.
In Johnson County, Missouri Highway 23 at two locations- between Concordia and Knob Noster at the Blackwater River; Route E near Valley City; and Route V, northeast of Warrensburg- are closed.
