A 26-year-old Holts Summit man has been charged with a felony for allegedly being the driver of a vehicle in Pettis County on May 6 that was reported stolen from Jefferson City.
A probable-cause statement says authorities reported to Wal-Mart in Sedalia after the victim’s debit card reportedly was used. By viewing surveillance video, authorities identified two subjects as occupants of the stolen vehicle.
According to online court documents, Alexander Campbell has been charged with a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree. Bond has been set at $7,500 cash or surety. The other occupant of the vehicle- Georgie Wilbers, of Loose Creek- has been charged with misdemeanors for fraudulent use of a credit or debit device and tampering with a vehicle in the second degree.
Campbell’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
