A Warrensburg man has been charged with a sex-related felony after a recent incident in Pettis County.
A probable-cause statement says Sedalia Police officers responded to a report of a sex crime at a residence in the 400 block of Albright Court on Friday, May 24.
Officers spoke with the victim who stated her fiancé– 53-year-old Howard Kuntz Jr.– reportedly woke her up by engaging in unwanted sexual acts. The victim added a similar incident with Kuntz occurred several weeks prior in which they held a discussion, where the victim told Kuntz she felt his act was like “rape” due to her sleeping and unable to consent to sexual contact.
Officers spoke to Kuntz who reportedly admitted to being aware of the victim’s feelings of no sexual contact while sleeping during the second unwanted incident.
Online court documents say Kuntz has been charged with a Class D Felony for Rape in the Second Degree. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
An initial hearing for Kuntz is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
