In 1919, Walter C. Weymuth and Joseph A. Kreisel opened W-K Garage in Cole Camp, working on some of the very first cars in existence. The two operated W-K Garage out of a simple metal shed, gaining loyal customers, one car at a time. Today, four generations later W-K services and sells all nine American brands
A news release says, on Saturday, June 1, W-K will be celebrating 100 years in business. The planned celebration is expected to draw a personal visit from Missouri Governor Mike Parson.
According to the W-K Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac Facebook page, anybody is welcome to visit during the celebration scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 3310 West Broadway Boulevard in Sedalia.
