Chariton County Emergency Management Agency Director Eric McKenzie gave KMMO News an update on the situation with rising water levels near Brunswick and Sumner.

McKenzie says the next task is trying to figure out ways to get supplies in and other things like trash out of the towns. He says if you’re on the island and need help, let them know.

McKenzie says several families in residences in the affected areas have been evacuated. He said if anybody needs information or help to contact Brunswick City Hall at (660) 548-3048.
