An Odessa 20-year-old suffered moderate injuries in an accident on a UTV in Lafayette County on Saturday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as Dylan Hamblin made a right turn in the UTV, and the UTV started to roll. Hamblin’s leg came out of the interior of the UTV and was struck by the UTV before the UTV returned upright.
Hamblin, who reportedly was not wearing a safety device, was transported by Odessa E.M.S. to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment.
The accident happened at 12:10 a.m. on private property in the 5500 block on Cumberland Road.
