Two Lawson residents sustained minor injuries in a traffic accident involving wildlife in Lafayette County on Friday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a deer traveled through the windshield and passenger compartment of a southbound vehicle, driven by 44-year-old Holly Deleon, of Lawson.
While the driver reportedly was not injured, passengers- 43-year-old Edgar Deleon and a 16-year-old male- were transported by E.M.S. to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment.
The accident happened just before 6:50 p.m. on Missouri Highway 13, just north of Business 13 at the Lexington South Junction.
