Flood waters have receded and a portion of US Route 24  in Chariton county has reopened.
According to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation, both lanes of US Route 24, east of Keytesville have been reopened. The roadway remains closed west of Keytesville through Brunswick and DeWitt.
