Residents in many area communities have been battling the rising Missouri River and other rivers, creeks and streams over the past few weeks, and Lexington is no different.
Mayor Fred Wiedner issued an updated statement about his town’s current situation with its water plant via the city’s Facebook page on Tuesday, June 4.

Wiedner said there are many people to thank for keeping everything operating at full capacity within the city.

Wiedner said he hopes he can deliver further good news soon.
