A Columbus, Ohio, man has been charged with drug- and weapon-related felonies after a probable-cause search of a vehicle that was parked in a lot at Lion’s Den on Route J in Saline County on Friday, June 7.
According to a probable-cause statement, the deputy reportedly located a loaded 9mm handgun; 28 canisters- each containing a one-ounce Ziplock-style bag of Cutthroat OG marijuana, another sandwich bag containing three smaller bags of raw marijuana and digital scales; a plastic shopping bag containing 220 bags of raw marijuana weighing a total of 254 grams in the passenger’s-side rear compartment; and another Ziplock-style bag of marijuana in the driver’s-side rear compartment that weighed 55 grams; along with other drug-related items.
According to online court documents, Abdikadir Abdiwahab Mada has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Possession of a Weapon and a Felony Controlled Substance; and a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond has been fixed at $20,000 cash or surety.
Mada’s initial hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
