During its meeting on Monday, June 10, the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen discussed a street-improvement bid.
City Clerk Michelle Fuehring explains Public Works Supervisor Nate Lea had asked for bids for the program.

In other news, Fuehring said a representative with Larkin Aquatics was at the meeting asking how the pool renovation is working out for the city.

Fuehring said the pool- which had been closed since the end of the summer in 2016 due to a bad leak- reopened as planned on Saturday, May 25.
In an action, the board approved an ordinance authorizing the issuance of a principal amount of $790,000 in bonds for a combined waterworks and sewerage systems; provided the interest rate is not more than six percent.
