Saline County Treasurer Marty Smith delivered the sales tax report for June during the meeting of the county commission on Tuesday, June 11.

Smith reported in the Use Tax the county received $40,722.92- which was down over $7,900 from last month, but it’s up more than $15,000 from the same period last year.

In other news, the commission approved the appointment of Sam Harris to replace Kent Butler, who resigned, as a member of the Saline County SB 40 Board. Harris will fill Butler’s term, which runs through 2021.
