Two men are facing felony charges in Pettis County following a traffic stop on Wednesday, June 12.
According to a probable-cause statement, a Sedalia police officer ran the plates of the vehicle and was advised the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Prairie Village, Kansas. Both the driver and a passenger were taken into custody.
The driver, 19-year-old, Jonathan Donovan, of Kansas City, and 23-year-old, Brian Calvitt, of Independence, each is facing a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree. Bond has not yet been set.
An initial hearing for each is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
