A Marshall resident has been charged with a felony for allegedly burglarizing a building at Indian Foothills Park last year.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities were dispatched to investigate the report of an alarm at the Indian Foothills Park Golf Course Restaurant just after 4:30 a.m. September 24. Nobody was found inside when authorities arrived, and the manager of the building said there was an unknown amount of change from the cash register and about $4 from the tip jar missing. The other money had been placed in the safe at the end of the business day. A suspect was identified by authorities lifting fingerprints from the entry location- a sliding window that looked as though it had been pushed in by the suspect.
According to online court documents, Dirk Swenson has been charged with a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree; and a misdemeanor for stealing. Bond has been set at $5,000 cash or surety or 10-percent approved.
Swenson’s initial hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
