A free event that brings art and nature together is scheduled to be held at a state park in Saline County later this month.
According to a news release, nature printing is an ancient art form that involves recreating images of objects found in nature and it’s still practiced today. The art of nature printing has been used in botany, interior design, the manufacturing of paper money and more.
You can learn about the history of nature printing and create your own leaf-printed T-shirt at the large shelter house at Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park on Saturday, June 29th. The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
The park will supply the paint, leaves and fun, all you need to bring is a t-shirt to decorate.
For more information about this event, call the park at (660) 886-7537.
