A Slater man is facing a felony charge in Saline County.
According to a probable-cause statement, 30-year-old Travis Vinton Goff was on probation, when he was arrested February 14, for a probation violation. His probation was enhanced to include GPS monitoring on March 5, and an Electronic Monitoring Device was attached to his leg.
On March 17, authorities received a “tamper alert’ and an “unauthorized leave” alert from Goff’s device. Goff called Parole and Probation two days later and reportedly advised the agency that he had, in fact, cut the bracelet off because his “leg was swollen”.
Bond has been set at $5,000 cash or surety, with 10-percent allowed.
A counsel-status hearing is scheduled at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at Saline County Circuit Court.
