A Slater teen who pleaded guilty earlier this year to a sex-related felony for inappropriately touching a juvenile female and was sentenced to eight years in the Department of Corrections is scheduled to appear for a court proceeding on Monday, June 24.
According to a probable-cause statement, Clint Shackles committed the inappropriate sex-related act sometime between 10 p.m. on July 20 and 5 a.m. on July 21, 2018, in the back yard of a residence in Slater.
Online court documents say Shackles withdrew his original plea of not guilty and pleaded guilty to a Class C Felony for Child Molestation in the Third Degree- Child Less Than 14 Years Old- on January 14. He was sentenced on February 13.
Updated court documents say Shackles was granted probation after successful completion of the sex-offender program and was released from custody on Friday, June 21. He will be under supervised probation for five years.
Shackles, who is now 19, is scheduled to be appear for a probation-conditions review hearing at 8:59 a.m. at Saline County Circuit Court.
