Colonel Eric T. Olson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, has announced that 31 troopers graduated from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on June 21.
According to a news release, eight of the graduates have area ties or have been assigned to work in the KMMO listening area.
The 107th Recruit Class reported to the Academy on January 2 to begin the 25-week training to become a trooper.
Completing the class were- including their assigned area: Troy M. Broyles, of Doniphan, Troop A, Zone 5, Ray/Carroll Counties; Haven L. Clemons, of Lamar, Troop A, Zone 15, Henry County; Wes M. Graham, of Joplin, Troop A, Zone 12, Johnson County; William C. Grose, of Sedalia, Troop A, Zone 13, Pettis County; Matt A. Harris, of Sweet Springs, Troop H, Zone 1, Atchison/Holt Counties; Nicholas T. Ott, of Cameron, Troop A, Zone 5, Ray/Carroll Counties; Erica P. Volkart, of California, Troop A, Zone 10, Saline County; and Brandon A. Walker, of Webb City, Troop A, Zone 8, Lafayette County.
The new troopers will report to duty in their assigned troops on July 8.
