While floodwater continues to recede for the most part, many of the major highways that were closed in the KMMO listening area on Friday, June 21, remain closed due to flooding.
According to MODOT’s Traveler Information map, closures remain in Saline, Carroll, Howard, Lafayette Counties and Johnson Counties.
Closures in Saline County include Highway 240 west of Glasgow; closures in Carroll County include Highway 65, between Carrollton and Waverly, Highway 10, between Carrollton and Norborne, and Highway 41, north of Miami near the junction of Highway 24; closures in Howard County include a portion of Highway 40 from just north of Boonville to a few miles west of Rocheport; closures in Lafayette County include Highway 224 at two locations between Lexington and Wellington; and in Johnson County, Missouri Highway 23 is now closed between Concordia and Knob Noster.
There also are some rural routes still closed in Carroll, Chariton and Johnson Counties.
