A woman who reportedly ran from authorities and swam across the Lamine River in Cooper County on Monday, June 24, has been apprehended.
An updated post on the Cooper County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page says a local resident who was keeping an eye on her property led to 25-year-old Jasmine N. Bronger, of Columbia, being taken into custody.
The original incident occurred at the Harriman Hill Lamine River access at about 11 a.m.
At approximately 4:48 p.m., dispatch received a report from a local resident advising the female was approaching their house. Deputies responded and arrested Bronger.
Bronger was arrested on an outstanding Boone County warrant for Violation of a Court Order on original charges of Burglary in the Second Degree and Theft/Stealing.
The case involving Monday’s incident has been forwarded to the Cooper County Prosecutor for review.
