At the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, June 25, Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden gave an update on the county’s effort to secure a grant for rural broadband.

Gooden said government officials are 100 percent behind the effort to get broadband internet service to rural areas.

Gooden said the commissioners received 102 forms from residents/businesses who said they would be interested in perhaps paying for broadband internet service if it becomes available in their area.
