A Bucklin resident was killed and another suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Linn County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 76-year-old Charlotte Copple, reportedly crossed into the path of a northbound vehicle, driven by 63-year-old Jerry Main.
Copple reportedly was pronounced deceased at the scene at 12:30 p.m. by Linn County Coroner Kenny Creason. Main reportedly was flown by Life Flight helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. Reportedly, neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened at 11:20 a.m. on Highway 129, one mile north of Bucklin.
